Worth Motorcycle Company, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) registered not-for-profit organization that teaches at-risk youth the art of vintage European motorcycle restoration. We promote generalizable skill sets that emphasize effective decision-making and conflict resolution.
Grounded in research literature, then guided by the competitive requirements of the industry’s labor market, our training program expects an unparalleled 48-52 week commitment from its participants. Admissions is offered to individuals, young people between the ages of 16-24, who evidence disproportionate rates of long term, overall life dissatisfaction, likely to result in chronic social and occupational underachievement.
In an attempt to offset the statistical over-representation of school-age, ethnic minorities in non-academic environments, we assess the clinical significance of reported behaviors through a series of structured interviews and validated measures of mood and personality, including the Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory (MMPI)* .
Pre, during, and post-intervention measures are administered in order to quantify individual progress and program efficacy. Additionally, our alumni program grants those who satisfy training criteria, complete access to the facility’s resources.
